simply amazing - basically replaces a $1000+ GPS system!

I am a "weekend warrior" private pilot, licensed in the mid 90s, just getting back into it after a few years off.
I actually got my flight review and "re-curency" signed off today!

After dloading the App a few days ago, and playing around with it at home thinking it was too good to be true, I flight tested this App today with my instructor and we were both blown away by it!
The refresh rate on an iPhone4 was very good!

For some one like me, that cant really justify dropping $1000+ on an aviation GPS, this is a perfect solution!
I wouldnt necessarily count on it as a primary nav source, as per the "disclaimer", but for a solid back-up to good old chart reading and radio navigation, this is awesome!
