Air Navigation Pro App Reviews

Cheap but unreliable app

All maps are deleted with any iOS update. Map loading only work with the app opened in download window and then at 0.1 MB @ min when each map weight more than 100 MB. Low motivation of the technical team to solve problems.

Correction request

I think this app is very helpful tool for me, but Id like to correct one thing. JP-0002 is not Tokyo heliport. This is Urayasu heliport of PV. Correct position is N35°3810" ,E139°5022". Im very happy if you correct this position information. Thank you!

THANK YOU VERY MUCH

YOU ARE THE BEST

Great

It very useful and simple to use. You have everything in it. Especially maps for aviation. Not to say so much. You should buy and use it for your air navigation.Thank you..

Almost ideal

Almost ideal navigation support for vfr flights, with one exception - most of navigation points in Poland (like EPLL sierra) have a mistake in coordinates, longitude is in place of lattitude and therefore Lodz Lublineks Sierra is on the opposite side of the continent. Authors promised to fix it... long time ago. Will give 5 stars when it is fixed. Still, I recommend this soft to every vfr pilot.

Air Nav Pro

Perfect app to use in flight as well as for flight planning.

New bugs

1. Cant connect to account. 2. Floating bug in logbook manual time setting - time saves in a wrong field.

Unstable. Can not connect to account.

Any time app starts it cant connect to air services account ("Connection error, retrying..."). You have to erase all user/password data, restart app, enter user data again and connect... until next time you switch from the app. Unstable. Crushy and slowy. New waypoint symbols are not useful (giant rings except of stars - hard to find quickly on the map, hard to identify the center point when creating). Totally new version was published right before xmas - so no any support detected. And no chance to roll back to previous version to use the normal app until this guys return from holidays.

Problem after update to 6.0.1.1

After update the app, on the map has been appeared vertical green line near the right side of the screen (on iPhone 6, iOS9.2) from top to almost bottom. I have deleted the program and installed as a new app--green line is existed over the map yet.

Latest update fails

Fix your application! I need it for my flights and it crashes all the time. Since today I cant even start it!

Good app

ANP every time crashes on iPad 2 and 4, on iPad Air it perfectly works

Awesome app

As general aviation pilot, this is the best application i ever found. I have used this application during a flight from lecce to grattaglie and worked perfectly just like a garmin g1000 in my plane.. The speed, the hearing was correctly like the efis.

Almost perfect but...

I love this application. Money really well spent. By the way, avioportolanos maps are waaaaaay too expensive, without any warranty of free updates, furthermore Italys charts choice cannot ne limited to the avioportolano or free maps. What about other commercial options ? What about ICAO ? What about not spending 44 euros for EFIS 3D data when theres tons of free satellite and ortho material out there. Ill keep supporting. Go on with this exceptional App.

Attenzione segnalo problema

Is not possibile to buy avioportolano italy airport guide but yesterday i bought avioportolano south italy with out problems The Antonio

Green vertical strip on Iphone 6+

After upgrading to the last version i have a green vertical strip on the map on Iphone 6+, please fix that

This company falsifies their claims

Out of the eight "new additions" to this app, NONE of them are new. This is an aviation developer that treats pilots like they are dealing with a used car salesman. My guess is they update their app on a daily basis to negate the negative reviews that they consistently receive.

Better than an expensive hand-held GPS

I recently decided to try ANP as a replacement for my AirMap 500 when it died (instead of buying a new handheld costing at least $800). I had already learned that the built-in iPhone GPS reception is not adequate for use inside the cockpit of my Piper Warrior. However, following the advice of the ANP author, I purchased a TomTom iPhone mount. This resulted in excellent GPS reception with the iPhone mounted on the yoke (I kludged my old AirMap mounting bracket to hold the TomTom mount). But the really good news is that ANP is very well designed and well supported. Even with the need to buy the TomTom mount (about $90), it is a bargain. In my past GPS experience I have always preferred to use map mode, so I wont comment on the simulated instruments. Using ANP I tried map mode both with free downloaded background maps and with a sectional map, which cost only $.99. Although I thought I would like the sectional best, I actually found that it was too cluttered and busy for the background on a small device. However, with the free background map installed, and ANPs airport and airspace markings enabled, I find the screen much more readable, especially when you only have time to glance at it. In this mode the airplane mark and the airports and airspace markings stand out nicely over a muted background with towns, roads, shorelines, etc. I like the map scale marker that is displayed in the upper right, and it is very useful to be able to zoom in and out either by the usual two fingered pinching, or by stretching or shrinking the scale marker. I tried ANP in both North up and Course up modes. North up mode has the advantage that the background map legends are horizontal if you are looking for a landmark. But I prefer Course up mode, so that keeping the route vertical is a good visual indicator for being on course. The airport and airspace labels are nicely rotated in Course mode so you can read them as well. With the TomTom mount the reception is good enough that the map rotation is very smooth during turns. The only minor disappointment is that there is no N arrow on the map, so you need to look at the numerical course indicator to find out the actual direction you are heading. I found ANP to be a very worthy successor to my departed AirMap. It is easy to setup, easy to use, and the hi-res color display is a big improvement. I was also pleased that I had problem with glare or too much sunlight (probably helped by the anti-glare sheet stuck on my iPhone screen). ANP is perfect for VFR flying, and would also work for IFR routing. And the fact that it is installed on my iPhone and always in my pocket is very handy!

Great Work!

Well designed and easy to use. Great for VFR flight. The cost for sectional chart is less the a dollar. It desplays usefull info on one single screen, from fligh plan to moving map (live sectional chart), to instruments. Great price too. Overall, it is the best air navigation product in the market, today!
